Bull Elk and Fall Colors at Oxbow Bend and Trip Update
This is one of those shots I’m quite amazed came out. I had just gotten my stuff set up and saw the bull elk come up over the ridge and stood there. I clicked the shutter hoping something would come out since it was after all, a full second exposure. But upon my return everything looked sharp and was amazed that he had stood there so long. This was just east of Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park while I was there getting the fall colors.
As for the trip, I went back to the fall colors because for the entire length of the trip thus far I’ve seen fall colors everywhere and it’s been absolutely beautiful! I’m in San Francisco right now after exploring the Yosemite Valley and wound up getting there at the perfect time for fall colors. More coming soon!
