Yellowstone Black Wolf in National Parks Conservation Association Spring 2010 Issue
Here’s another published image that I’m very proud of. This is still currently one of my favorite images that I’ve taken and I was very happy to see it published in the spring issue of the National Parks Conservation Association. When this was taken in May of 2009, this particular wolf was the alpha female of the Canyon Pack and I found her in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park. At the time this was only the second wolf I had every seen, yet even to this day, I’m continually amazed by the behaviors and traits of this animal. They’re an incredible species and seeing one is always a memorable experience.
On a side note, I apologize for the lack of "actual" photography updates. I’m leaving for a big road trip on Thursday and have been trying to get quite a bit done before I leave. I’ll be spending lots of time along the backroads of southern Utah, among other places. I’ll also have my new laptop with me so I’ll actually be making periodic updates along the way this time too!
