Sunset Over Cholla Cacti in Phoenix, Arizona

Sunset lights up the sky above cholla cacti in the Phoenix Mountains Park and Preserve in Phoenix, Arizona.

I’ve been digging back through my archives in between going out and finding more wildlife and have come across quite a few from my time in Arizona that I never got around to processing for one reason or another. This one in particular is from the Peak 2429 hike in the Phoenix Mountains Park and Preserve in Phoenix, Arizona. I used to live within a mile of one of the park entrances so I would do that hike frequently to keep in shape and get above the city for a little while. Naturally cholla cacti, along with many other forms of cactus, were all over the place.
