Backpackers Overlooking the North Fork of Cascade Canyon

Two backpackers pause as they overlook the North Fork of Cascade Canyon in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

The Paintbrush Canyon to Cascade Canyon Loop is a relatively popular backpacking hike not just for its location, accessibility and enjoyment, but especially for the scenery. Waterfalls, wildlife and enormous backcountry views wait around every turn in one of Grand Teton National Park’s most popular hikes. As they were overlooking the North Fork of Cascade Canyon, these two hikers’ gaze eventually caught Lake Solitude which was off to their right and a very prominent landmark along this part of the trail. Beyond them is the South Fork of Cascade Canyon.
