A front door and vines create an abstract image in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Loiusiana.
As mentioned, the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana makes for some great abstract photography. Bold colors and in this case, even plant life, can create an abstract photo as unique as any other location. This will probably be the last abstract blog post from the trip, so if you want to see more, be sure to visit the full gallery! – Continue reading
An abstract photo of a front door found in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana.
While you can do abstract photography virtually anywhere, there are few places I’ve come across where it’s as easy as it is in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. Bright, bold colors mix with old, weathered stone offering up limitless possibilities for photographers leaving every doorway to offer up a completely new shot. Moss-covered oak trees hang over a pond in Audubon Park in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Audubon Park is a great place for a wide variety of scenery common to that region, including a bit of wildlife as well. There’s a trail for recreational exercise that goes around the park covered by endless oak trees, many of which are blanketed in moss. – Continue reading
The French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana is decorated with red and green lights for the Christmas season.
I just returned last night from extended trip down to New Orleans, Louisiana to see some family and friends for the holiday season. Having grown up in New Orleans, I found it odd that I had no photos on my website from that area, so I went back for a bit longer than usual to get some shots from the region. Most of my shots came from the French Quarter, which in addition to shots like these, made for some great abstracts that I’m excited to show.
I’ll have plenty more to show in the coming days, but I just wanted to get something up for today.
Also, since today is the first playoff game of the season for the NFL, and since I’m also a lifelong Saints fan, I wanted to post another quick little shot I got while wandering around the French Quarter. – Continue reading
